Job Description:
Reporting to the Inventory Manager, the Analyst, Inventory plays a vital role in inventory management and optimization in support of the Company's renewables operating fleet. This role works closely with the Procurement and site teams to coordinate and maintain optimal inventory levels required for current company operations at our wind and solar plants across the US. This position plays a key role establishing optimal min/max inventory levels, drives and implements best practice replenishment strategies to increase efficiencies and cash flow, provides expertise to support the business and system processes utilized in managing materials/services, and directs, manages and coordinates the logistics and warehousing activities for intercompany parts sharing/transfers, as needed.
Skills/Experience:
· Subject matter expert for Material Master data within current ERP system.
· Review and continuously improve best practices for Material Master data maintenance and
monitoring.
· Work with sites to continuously improve inventory/replenishment strategies and effectiveness.
· Responsible for Material Master data clean-up and improvement projects, including but not
limited to reduction of part number duplication and material data standardization.
· Collaborate with Inventory and IT team on the master data management and required updates
supporting the ERP system.
· Propose changes to SAP Material Master data including request to create, change, extend,
activate/deactivate, or otherwise modify master data, as needed.
· Coordinate with sites to resolve discrepancies between inventory and revenue.
· Ensure compliance to existing, and development of required data and reporting standards.
· Help identify and drive opportunities related to inventory management decisions.
· Assist with KPI reporting maintenance to track inventory levels, shortages, and updates
(E&O/Market Value)
· Liaison for new site onboarding for material setup and training
Required Skills:
· Understanding of ERP systems from an Inventory Management/Supply Chain standpoint
· Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & SharePoint
· Strong attention to detail, organization skills and time management
· Strong ability to analyze, interpret and understand data, yet comfortable operating in
scenarios with limited data
· Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface with senior
leadership and collaborate cross-functionally.
· Understanding of best practices in warehouse organization and management, including but
not limited to kanban, layouts and proper inventory control.
· Self-starter works well in early stage/startup environments.
· Organized, detail orientated, and highly accountable.
· SAP4 Hana and Ariba experience preferred but optional.
· Minimum of one year of Inventory experience.
· Previous experience in the renewable energy industry is a plus.
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline.
· Applicable experience in related disciplines or industries may be substituted for the degree
requirement; high school diploma/GED required.
